What exactly is the point of having chainmail if the recipe takes MORE iron than iron armor?

Being able to craft chainmail armor is probably the most evil thing ive ever heard of

I can make it so the chain recipe makes 2-4?

Exactly if someone has full chainmail they are the most powerful person on the server its completely useless if you can craft it since its only worn for being the rarest armor in the game

There’s a limited amount, and hear me out:

Phantom wing	end rod	Phantom wing
Phantom wing	nether star	Phantom wing
Phantom wing		Phantom wing

an end game recipe, and it makes it so elytra prices will never shoot up in price, and crafting them currently is a ripoff for yourself as they are free in the end. Nether stars are worth way more right now than elytra are.
