AHG Winter Holiday Event Wrap Up
Overview
First off, a massive thank you to those who joined us for the Winter Event. It was awesome to see both returning and new faces on our server - we had almost 3,000 unique players join our server during the event!
This update is somewhat of a transition update back to normal gameplay. I expect our next major event to be during the summer for our one year anniversary and July 4th. There will likely be content updates throughout the coming months, but a schedule hasn't been set yet. Until then, if you're itching for a change in pace, our revived Vanilla TTT server goes live on January 10th!
(If you haven't unlocked everything yet, don't worry - you have until the 9th to make progress towards and purchase Winter Event items.)

- Added ttt_ski_resort to permanent rotation
- Added ttt_xmas_nipperhouse to permanent rotation
- Added ttt_waterworld_xmas to permanent rotation
- This one probably needs some clarification so here it is - ttt_waterworld is notorious for having terrible FPS issues. Every "optimized" version of the map still has dogwater frames. A large part of this is due to the massive amount of water on the map. Water needs reflection and refraction, both of which require a lot of computations to render correctly. Switching the water to ice wasn't just to add seasonal flair - it was to get the map to a playable state on 25+ players. We'll do further research into this map to see if it can be optimized in a way that lets us readd the water.
- Added ttt_wintermansion to seasonal rotation
- Since it's not a Christmas map and we have ttt_summermansion, this guy can stay a bit longer.
- Added ttt_crackhouse to permanent rotation
- This map was really popular during the event, so we're bringing a new, non-Christmas version to the server.
- Added ttt_dust2_winter to seasonal rotation
- Added ttt_mirage_winter to seasonal rotation
- Removed ttt_cod_stalingrad from permanent rotation
- Removed de_haunts from permanent rotation
- Removed Christmas maps from rotation. We'll see them again next year!
