Hi all,
AHG will be shutting down at the end of the Winter event, which will be on January 7th. All things considered, we had a good run, but our strategy relied too heavily on the assumption that S&box would be released in 2021.

So what does this all mean?

• The TTT server will be shut down.
• Ranks will no longer be purchasable.
• The forums will remain open as long as money remains in the Paypal account.
• Backups of our databases will be retained to leave the door open for a S&box return.
• The Discord server will remain open

Thank you Pierogi for keeping going as long as you did. It sucks but I completely understand. At least we'll all get to kinda stay together in the shoutbox, Discord, or even Teyvat.

Wow! Garry's Mod TTT is dying!

The sad culmination of a domino effect that ultimately started with CS:GO (and some could argue Dota 2, but that one's a bit of a different story due to how it works). Valve heavily disincentivized community servers in CS:GO, then they started to tilt the tables in favor of their own infrastructure in TF2 with Quickplay, and then basically almost entirely in their favor with Casual. Then they just didn't give any shit about releasing a proper dedicated server for CS2 and told people "just throw '-server' in commandline lol", because by the time that happened, nearly all of the SRCDS server hosts had long seen the writing on the wall and packed up and left, and that included a lot of them that did Garry's Mod on the side. Sure, you have exceptions here and there like Uncletopia, but those are far and few between and mostly O&O their own infrastructure.

To be honest it has been a good run with a lot of ups and downs. Got close to shutting down at least once before and now the time has come. Plenty of memories of fun times and bad, making friends and enemies. RIP AHG
