Pending make it so you can RTV a map if the previous map was RTV'd

Well the original idea for this was mostly to stop people (especially those with donator ranks) from constantly rtving.

Since donators have more RTV/Vote powers, doesn't take long to just start an RTV chain.
Basically, Map gets RTV'd goes to a map, someone says it's shit and RTVs and everyone follows. Next map, same shit, repeat.

For new members, it's mostly unfair since they'll just end up sitting on loading screens on map change than actually playing the mode as they have less vote power.

If you really wanted a compromise, maybe make it after two rtvs it's disabled for the voted map.

I agree with Ashes on basically everything here.

We implemented this to prevent people snowballing RTV votes over and over. Wouldn't be too hard for a few donators to RTV maps over and over.

Sure, theoretically, they would also be using their extra map vote power to vote for a map they wouldn't just RTV again, but this is a video game we are talking about after all.

I'm open to tweaking how many RTVs it takes for the RTV lock to come into effect, but I don't think removing it entirely is a good idea.

you guys need to be more realistic about the state of the server

everyone is some type of donator at this point, almost everyone has 2 votes
what newcomers does this really affect?

we try to repop, we get a few people (staff, supporters, VIP)
we get a semi-boring map and rtv after like 3 rounds
get another semi-boring map and cant rtv so everyone leaves by round 5

having to completely play through 6 full rounds, where half of them get delayed, is incredibly boring and a vibe killer especially when its a map you only kinda enjoy

make it so we can rtv after round 3 or round 4
we still play the map enough that way, and makes it so we can keep the game more engaging and fresher for people to stay playing

people stay on inventory servers because of the loot crates and shit sure.. but the rounds go by pretty fast, maps change at a decent rate because of this, TTK is fast, movement is faster, and theres almost no downtime so people actually want to keep playing.
those servers actually have a retention rate

it's implementation at the time was great because we had 20+ people on the servers playing... now it's just a dumb restriction that kills the server most of the time

you guys keep thinking we have the same player base as we did a few years ago and are trying to make changes (or not make changes?) for something we just dont have anymore

it's like you guys are trying to cling onto the whole "SeriousTTT" ideals of keeping everything so simple/barebones and "not an inventory server" but idk man we're the community that's losing players.

Just fuckin remove random as a choice when RTV happens

Edit: remove RTV restrictions when 20+ players?

random map isnt the issue, the issue is sometimes 3 rounds of the random map is enough and now i want a different random map
cant rtv again? well im not waiting another 3 rounds so guess im gonna leave

the rtv restrictions are from a completely different time period where we were trying to solve the total opposite problem.
we had a lot of players so things happened a lot faster (rounds, maps, rtvs)
we wanted to keep people on the server and not chase them away with the constantly changing chaos, so we made changes to hold people on the server a little longer

we have less players now, so things are happening a lot slower.
we want to keep people on the server and not chase them away with the slow paced boredom we have now, so why are we making them stay on maps they dont find fun?

people's curiosity for playing new maps shouldnt be discouraged by some old head ideas from the past

also do you mean add the restrictions when its 20+ players? when was the last time we've consistently had 20+ players be fr we can barely get to 16 players on a good night
