it's not exclusive to manhacks. Tenta used a harpoon just now and then had the glitch happen where a flare gun looked like a knife. also feel free to merge this thread with the embedded thread.

Had this bug myself yesterday right after using a harpoon, bought a Silenced Pistol after using it, (bought it while holstered) and the silenced pistol appeared as a knife.

If its happening with the harpoon then there's not really much I can do. The weapon building system to use GMod props as weapon models will bug out occasionally. On SGM (and even AHG but not as often for some reason) after throwing a harpoon and it switching back to your primary/secondary weapon, your fingers would be pretty messed up. Without a thorough review of the weapon base code, this won't be fixed. I can leave this open but it probably won't be addressed until we attack other bugs that we can bang out quickly.

I believe I found a fix, shows promising results during testing at least. I will roll it out soon, once it is live I will make this thread public to see if people still have the problem.
